Can anyone recommend a good set of components as i'm looking to get some for my gp. So far i've been told to narrow it down to Vibe, Alpine, and Pioneer. Are these the best, or are there others? i don't want to spend more than £100 on them either. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

What RMS rating do you need?

I'd stay away from those brands, as I'm sure others will say also - though I've not had experience personally it seems a general consensus.

When I was looking for some for my GP I had it narrowed down to DLS (such as http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/9114.html) or Rainbow (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3966.html).

I went for the rainbows in the end as they're 100W RMS at 4ohm (opposed to 60 for the DLS's) as the amp I found was rated at 104W at 4ohms so stuck with the ones that matched.

Yeah speaker wise stay away from the ones in the OP. The others you were told about will sound ace. Don't worry about RMS to much. As long as you send a clean signal then you should be fine. My mids are rated at 200w RMS and I'm giving them 360w.

I figured you already had an external amp giving you 75w RMS. The amp built into the head units run at about 10w RMS per channel so you really do need an external one if you want to improve the sound over stock.
