Looking around for a sat nav for my birthday...
My phone is a MDA compact 2 which will take Navigation 5 software, but would have to buy the receiver etc as well.
Originally thinking to just buy the software, and buy a SD card, but cant find any deal to get it cheaper than buying a complete sat nav system.

Any suggestions, or advice, please..someone must have wanted to buy software & found it cheaper than buying a complete new system.?

Check out eBay, you'll probably find some on there cheaper than you can buy in the shops, and maybe a few copies (although this is illegal )

Have you thought about TomTom 5 for Phones/PDA's? I use this myself and find it great if your phone will support it that is :)

This post contains eBay links which may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
They do the Bluetooth GPS recievers too, they're one of the best around! Whatever you choose you will need a reciver (preferably a Bluetooth one so you don't have leads coming from your phone/pda) and the software. Heres the link for the phone bit, if you have PDA phone just select PDA on the side.

Although quite expensive, if you can get yourself a Bluetooth reciever off eBay cheaper (although wont be as good) and the software off eBay you could save some money. Only plus with buying direct is the support and extras you get.

I'll see what else I can find :)
