General comformatic problem

We have a 2016 motorhome with 5500 miles on clock.On 3 occasions now we have pulled of it changes in to second gear but will not go in to third gear and the transmission warning light comes on so we stop turn engine off then turn back on and it seems ok ,Done it again twice today any ideas please

Yes plug a diag tool a read the fault codes stored in the Tcm

Yes a fault code SHOULD be stored..

But it may be a non.engine code..

So a £8 device may not read it.

Your fault code will be non engine code But tcm code so so £8device won’t read it diagnose it or fix it
