Styling Colour coding bumpers

Hi

Has anyone ever colour-coded the standard mk2 bumpers?
I'd like to have mine done like the sporting bumpers.

mate its probably best to buy some sporting bumpers n fit them to ur standard sporting! probably cheaper and also i dont think the paint sticks to the factory bumpers if what i heard from other people on here is correct what colour car u got?

my car's bronze... or metallic orange

would look far better with colour coding

Right first flat them down with some 600 grit wet and dry paper with loads of water and a bit of fairy liquid.

then wipe them down with panel wipe 3 times.

coat them with two coats of plastic primer

then three of four coats of filler primer flatting lightly with 1000 grit paper between coats

apply two ot three coats of top coat colour

apply three coats of laquer if its metalic which it is if it s Calypso orange
