Delayed as the car needed a new seat belt buckle or something and the aerial was missing, apparently the local fiat dealer sent over the wrong parts...

MMmmmm. watch this space

Actually got to see the car on Saturday, looks in very good condition, a couple of grips I have asked the dealer to fix,

The on board computer thinks the bonnet is open and a light in the dash thinks a door is open. Are these linked?

The sunroof, does not close easily, wont close at first attempt when the dial is turned, and even if it looks closed there is howling when driving as if it is open. Is this a common issue?

The load bay is really dirty, have asked for the car to valeted.

but apart from that car drives well no squeaks or rattles, Car goes to a fiat dealer on Thursday for these to be corrected.

I've heard that sun roofs do cause some problems for some.

I would like to think that these are down to maintenance, but cannot say one way or the other.

All I do know is that when I had my Tipo with an electric sunroof I used to annually fully open it. Check the drain holes (visually and with an actual water drain test) and lubricated the mechanism and rails.

However this type of maintenance is not on any formal Fiat service schedule.

Some designs are more tolerant of neglect than other and possibly the Croma is in the less tolerant category.

All I would say is that once your sun roof has been sorted do NOT neglect it. A simple annual check and lube will keep most sun roofs in tip top condition for many years.
