My UT has standard suspension so either just going to go for lowering springs of a full kit from someone else, can't justify £600 for the AVOs £300 is about the most I want to spend. Don't wanty GMAX either.

for about 350 i think you can buy damper adjustable konis all round

Do you think they'd be just as good as the coilovers? I must say I thought the whole point of coilovers was that you could fine tune the suspension with different spring rates so probably overkill anyway. What is the best £300 type suspension, Koni?

ive had koni's on my 309 gti and they were fantastic but did change the springs koni springs are well known to be to hard then tried spax springs even worse ended up with jamex springs and they were great. and the ut when i bought it it already had spax adjustables on the front and found a set of rear adjustable on ebay brand new in the box for wait for it a tenner each, result retail at 70 each and i must say they are great great ride currently set full soft at front and rears tuned up 3 clicks i like a hard arse . ive got avo coilovers on my mk2 golf 2.0 16v 188 bhp they are awesome but they are on the softest setting fantastic. you can buy all these adjustable shocks and end up leaving them on the softest setting as they are 30% uprated as standard if your on a budget get something like boge turbo gas shocks £25 a corner

Avanti do a full coilover kit but its not cheap!

I may buy it when i have some cash and re work my cage to the strut tops (my omp cage only goes have way up) as the added load form having the full weight where just the damper mounted would worry me!

I've got a set of Leda coil-overs at the front of the rally car and they are great. They were develpoed for the Uno Rally Challenge, they adjust the castor and camber and make the car so driveable and turn-in on a six-pence at any speed.
Also they can re-pair them, i had them serviced for 60 quid each, and a 24 hr turn around. Fully adjustable shocks and height, obviously on the rally car i use it the make the car higher, but it can be used to make them lower.

If i change rally cars (possibility in the next year), then the Leda's will be up for sale. If you can't wait that long speak to the people at Leda, they still have the plans for them.
