Hey

I have an mk2 punto.

Recently fitted my coilovers on my car which turned out too be a complete disaster.

I snapped an anti-roll bar bolt, obviously the tracking and camber was all messed up. (from lowering it)
Not reaslising at the time how bad the tracking was i drove home 2/3miles, when i say drove. Crawled home at 10mph to some very uneasing noises.

Proberly my best idea that day after, desiding to fit them my self and drive it home with half my anit-roll bars attached, was to take it to the garage to be checked over and tracking done.

200 pound later. I had the Geometry re-lined. The tracking done (38.1mm tow out)LOL. Anti-roll bar drilled and tapped. And to my dismay suspension hieght raised 40mm front 10mm rear. and the ****ers charged me 35 quid to raise it.
So now im 400 quid down and my car is sitting at almost the same height as when i started... proberly something to do with my dad telling then to raise it so it doesnt scrub occasionally.

When i drove it home the first night after fitting them. It still went on full lock and no rubbing and that was with the coilovers wound all the way down bar 20mm.

The rear is fine, they are just lowering springs and new shocks, and the tracking wasnt affected at all on the back. So im going to just shorten the springs abit.;)

The tracking is all sorted now and the car drives fine. Obviously it will go lower and i want it lower.
So if i just wack out my C spanners and have a little twisty twisty lowering session... will the tracking go out again???? (on the front)

Regards

Tbh, im not sure but I would imagine no. Its really easy to wind the fronts down aswell but im having trouble doing the rear, the exhaust is in the way completly for one side and the otherside is just really tough

On top of that, I have inner scrubbing on my fronts due to the aftermarket alloys that the previous owner of the car put on :(

Let us know how you get on.
