Hi, I cant believe that 71 people have read my message and that know one has answered my question. Someone somewhere must have a good idea, after all this is fiat forum, come on guys.

regards
kevin:)

No it wont read your cars as your vehicles have the 3 pin diagnostic connectors and not an ODB/ODBII/EODB 16pin connector.

Hi, Thanks for the answers, but I dont understand why then they make an adapter lead 3 pin to 16 pin which I have just purchased. Surely this means I can plug into an EOBD scanner.
Regards
kevin

You can plug it in but your cars aren't EOBD or OBD2 they are Fiat OBD.
The tool says it will work on OBD but only they would know if the 16pin connector will connect to the standard 16pin to 3pin connector properly
Ask them! No one can guess as it's extremely rare to see a hand tool like that which says it will work for OBD and EOBD. I don't think it can do what it says it can

FiatEcuScan may well work on them with a plain and simple VAG COM connector and then a 16pin to 3 pin connector if you dont fancy jumping wires

Kevin,
I have the same code reader. It works perfectly for my 500 MJ and GPS.
I also have a 3 pin to OBD converter but the code reader does not recognise the protocol used on my integrale or '96 Barchetta so I'd say you will be out of luck.

I'll check out the fiat ecu scan when I get a spare minute.
