Technical Code light, keys and valuation

i have a P reg (97) 55s punto. I have just bought a newer punto and want to sell my old one but am having a few problems.
first..... sometimes when i put the key in the orange code light comes on and it wont start, i take the key out and keep putting it back in again and it will eventually go out and start. it doesnt do it every time i try to start the car. what could it be and how can it be fixed? or a rough price for a non fiat garage to mend it (if possible).
second....when i bought the car it only came with 2 blue keys, is this a problem when getting the code thing sorted?
and finally.....what sort of price could i ask for the car? it is in good condition appart from this key thing really, has about 5months MOT and the tax runs out the end of the month!
i want to get it sorted soon so its not stuck doing nothing on my drive since i changed my insurance over.
please help!

i have a similar problem with intermittent start problems when i use either of the blue keys in my possession.so i will look forward to some answers.

There's no quick fix to this problem, ensure that al electrical connections and earths are ok and that the loop antenna on keyhole is securely pushed into immobiliser box, after that its fit a new or replacement immo box.( the most likely problem). Replacement is not possible by fiat without the red key. I may be able to help here.

thanks for your help with the key problem. i decided not to get it fixed, just knock some money off when i sold it to my friend! but they went and crashed it 4days after they got it and wrote it off so it didnt matter anyway! but now my poor baby has gone
