Hi,
Can anyone out there help? I got in my R reg Punto S today to find the clutch had given up. No pressure under the pedal at all, it feels really loose and I obviously can't get it into gear. The car had a whole new clutch kit just over a year ago and I don't do many miles so I think it should still be OK. I am worried about getting it recovered to the wrong garage and getting ripped off as I don't know much about cars, or their inner workings! It seems really odd that the car was fine when I parked it last night and totally without clutch this morning. I live in east london so any tips as to what the problem could be or recommendations to a reasonable and honest garage would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Kay

Hello and WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!

Have you checked your break fluid?? As this is also used as the hydraulic fluid for the clutch. If thats fine then it sounds like either a clutch master clylinder or slave cylinder to me rather than the clutch itself.

Hope that helps,
Alan
