Bolted the new one in place yesterday, used the clear tube and jamjar trick to bleed the system, run it through with fresh fluid, works as new. (y) (y)

Less than an hours work, not bad.

Thanks for all your help.

how do you get to the clutch master cylinder? it appears to be half in the cabin and half somewhere else, though can't see it in engine bay.. any help? there appears to be two bolts going in the same direction as the cylinder, do you just undo those and pull it towards you to check flexi hoses or something? can't find any reference to it in the manual.

Clutch master?

Half in the cabin and the other half will be in the engine bay. You would need to undo the solid hose from inside the engine bay.. then undo flexy hose in cabin and undo bolts to remove.

refitting is reversal of removal... only much trickier.

just a quick update. discovered one of the flexi hoses on the brakes was loose and leaking. the pedal stuck down a few times after that, but since then it seems to of sorted itself out. though i thought the two things would of been a lot more different. but nevermind.
