Technical Clutch cable snapped - cost??

As you all know, the Cinq is THE most unreliable car ever.

How much would an average garage charge to fix a snapped clutch cable??

mine got done for £35 - £15 for cable and £20 for fitting.

he is a friend of the family so i cant imagine it being this cheap from a garage. I was quoted about £70 from one place.

i got sick of mine when the clutch cable kept on snapping, I had 2 cables in a matter of weeks.

but decided to keep it cause its a great little car

Another day...another problem...

You could fit it yourself, it's only about a half an hour job. And I bet it's not the clutch cable thats snapped, but the metal 'L' joint thingy. They always snap them.

I feel a 1242 turbo coming on...

thinking of getting one to keep in the boot for the inevitable snap,would the AA fit it for you if yours snapped and you called them out or would they fit there get you home version?

It's been done, cost £45. The end piece had snapped.

The clutch feels well nice now, a lot lighter, I would have had it done sooner if I knew it was going to make such a difference.

Still going to get rid though, sick of the bloody thing!!!

£50 for mine, end piece snapped also a lot lighter pedal closer to floor and seems better getting the gears especially 2nd

the lit cost no more than 15 squid. takes about 1-2 hours to do.. need to jacj car and take front wheel off for access. if snaps more than twice a year, you will need a new clutch... cost about 70-90 squid... one new clucth fitted, cable snaps are gone for at least ayear

Cost me £13.47 for the part from Fiat. Didn't even cost me any petrol cos my mate drove me there and back[8D]
