Finally complete.
LUK clutch £115.20, concentric slave £200 (£100 non genuine) also replace thermostat housing as easier whilst bell housing off. Some bolts, exhaust repair section and pipe, coolant.
Charged for 13 hours of labour, at a very reasonable rate, which gave me access to a two post and extra hands over 4 days, which manipulating the housing and gearbox out, then back in again needed, to which I also put in about the same time, directly related to the clutch.
In brief, drive shafts out, so bottom wishbone bolts out, calipers off, transfer box/diff off, battery/ECU and battery box out, selector cables and counterweight off, subframe braces off, front legs of subframe off, drop subframe 20mm. Extract gearbox and bell off of shaft and guide stud, then rotate and tumble. Replace clutch and pressure plate, replace thermostat housing and slave cylinder. Put all back together, taking air hose off and exhaust off to allow more access.
I am told that you can do a 169 clutch in 2-4 hours, oh what a dream
Found liquid grease for the inner drive shaft joint from Rimmer Bros. Repaired rather than replaced exhaust for now, about to replace the sump guard and then the rear spring.
