Hello, today i was driving my fiat 126 normally when all of a sudden it starts clunking like crazy.
The clunk looks like a axle is knocking into the body of the car.
It gets worst with high speed but if it goes into neutral the noise disappears and it is worst if i downshift.
This makes me think its the gearbox support? any suggestions? thanks

It could be the gearbox mountings. Are they soaked in oil and the rubber looks soft? Might be worth jacking the car up, starting the engine and watching the movement in the gearbox mountings.
Another likely cause could be the driveshaft couplings. Over time the bonded rubber separates from the metal housing. I had one fail a while ago and it sounded just as you describe - a knocking into the body of the car. Check the joints by jacking the car up, handbrake on, clamping the driveshaft with a mole wrench and seeing how much movement there is. Badly worn or failed joints should show up easily.
Hope this helps
