That's why people shouldn't be driving their mum's 2-litre plus car when they're still immature.

As for speeding.. that wasn't the cause. Yes they were speeding, but it was the trying to weave between traffic which killed them. Speed doesn't kill.. inapropriate speed kills. Wether it be above or below the posted speed limit.

Fair point that, bit like, it's not falling off a tall building that kills, it's the landing at the bottom. Speed was a major contributing factor along with imaturity, level of traffic, level of adrenalin, trying to outdo the Merc etc. Each individual item didn't kill them, the sum of all did.

Anyway, I'm not going to be sanctimonius about speeding as I have the statutory required 3 points on my licence but there's a time and a place, unfortunately it's becoming more hazardous.

I've always had at least a 1.9 turbo diesel (apart from my Ibiza) so I've been used to having plenty of power. But I've always had the maturity not to start racing or weaving through traffic. There is a time and a place - and that is when its quiet and there is nobody else to involve. You don't often get quiet and empty roads so be sensible.
