General Clonking noise from cinq

Hello,

I went and viewed possibly my first Cinq today, in very nice condition, maybe some new tyres, but being well under budget I can allow for those!

But as I was driving it around, there seemed to be a clonking noise whenever I went to change gear. It was more prominant when I was going down a gear, but the passenger could feel it right under the footwell.

Does anyone know what this might be, as if it's a small job, I'm very tempted to make him an offer!!!

under the passenger......the rear engine/gearbox mount. prity easy to replace, jack the car up, undo a few bolt,swap mounts over and do a few bolts up.

Its common for these mounts to go on the cento's

Hmmm yeah, that's what we thought....didn't particularly fancy driving it 145+miles home and finding out it's something a little bit more serious!!!
