i havent had one, but i can tell you the electrics are ridiculous.

electrics are poor as the only one ive been in was broken..
and power wise there slower than a 1.2 seicento....

Drove a 1.2 years ago, looked like this...
...it actually drove pretty well though the brakes were a bit on/off. Didn't see any problems with the electrics on that one but have heard of pretty major issues with them. The dealers are meant to be a heck of lot worse than even Fiat can muster too. If you get a good one, they should be decent though. The 1.2 was pretty nippy (bout the same kind of pace as my 1.2 Stilo), the 1.4 should be even better especially on the motorway. Interior's a bit plastic and grey but felt pretty hard wearing too. Mate had a 1.2 version of the model after the one pictured and it lasted him 7 years without any major issues.

the guy downstairs from me is renault daft has a new clio estate thing, has always had them.
he got this one after his old clio caught fire at a junction. electrical fault sure.

Another thing to note is the bonnet issue with the model I pictured as well as the one after. The catch on them is apparently crap and on some occasions has the inconvenient habit of flying open while on the move. It was a Renault recall (I think) and got loads of media coverage at the time. Just make sure it's been sorted though again, my mate never had an issue with it.
It's a womans car and french....nuff said! Lol

ive drove a few 1.4 clios , pick-up to speed okay... handle okay.. , releable enought if looked after from day one , but them bonnets keep coming up lol
