Technical Clicking accelerator pedal

My clutch pedal click is cured with white grease and that does the trick for 6 months.

Now my accelerator pedal seems to click in the first stages of pressing down...any ideas what this is? Only very minor click and doesn't cause any problems operating pedal....yet!

I just covered everything behind my pedals with loads of WD40 2 years ago, been silent ever since

Make sure the plastic cover has not come adrift underneath the pedals and then a spray with some oil might do, just dont put to much on so it drips on your feet when driving.
