There is software available to clear fault codes even airbag light and ABS lights for anyone who has a laptop, you can dowload it when you register at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/UniDiag/ it is all free. The KWP71 will clear airbag and abs lights which I have used and the UNIDIAG KWP2000 I havent used as yet will do all sorts of technical looking things. Oh just remembered the ELM cables are no good for this you will need one called Vagcom KKL I got mine from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280369919198&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT it was cheap and it works some people are charging as much as £40 for this.

Thanks for mentioning who told you about it. Also i did tell you in confidence as people trawl forums for stuff like this and sell it on ebay. Which is what i wanted to avoid.

You also forgot to mention that people can also make there own cables. I have the schematics.

Sorry about that but I am a member of FSOC and it has been put on there so it was only going to be a matter of time before it got on here. The person who put it on there is also a member on here in particular the Stilo section. If you think it will do any good I will edit it out or somit( thought I would be helping Marea owners on here).

Hi,

You can also check this free software - http:// fiatecuscan.net
It can read/clear error codes, read data, draw graphs, test actuators, etc.

Hello,

I have had a look on ebay at these Vagcom KKL cables which are a 16 pin connector. Where exactly do they plug in to a Marea (JTD130 in my case)? What I think is my diagnostic socket (towards back right of my engine bay) looks nothing like the Vagcom KKL's fitting. Am I missing something here?

Ian
