Classic Insurance for a 17 year old

Does anybody know what companies offer this?

The only one I have found is Footman James, but they won't cover my Panda 4x4 because it is not regarded as a classic yet

Not may for under 20's.

Why do they not class it as a classic? It's over 15 years old which is what most cars need to be.

For a 17 year old it needs to be over 30 years old or something like a Mini, which they class as a classic (even if it isnt over 30 years old), they would insure the Panda on a classic policy for someone over 25.

Looks like I'm going to be waiting until August to be able to insure it when my renewal is up on my red Panda and I can change to another company who do insure cars over 20 years old (stupid Quinn) and I have a years no claims.

The cheapest quote I have had for the 4x4 is £1600 which is rediculous, the £1400 that I am paying this year is enough.

Think yourself lucky, my 18yr old nephew will have to pay almost £3,000 for a 7 yr ols 1.2 Stilo...

Buy a "proper" classic anyhow lol...

But I'll bet Classic Insurers are wise to the teenagers trying to dodge their outrageous young driver policy prices.

As far as i know classic car insurance is for people who are 21+

A panda isn't going to break the bank in comparison to other cars, it won't be cheap but any 17yr old with cheap insurance is doing something dodgy.

Thanks, will give them a try tomorrow, if they're no good I'm just going to leave it until August.
