Hello,

NEW member hear :D

I have put pics of my ride up (I hope they work lol)

I don't like the wheels I have and would like to replace them, however I am not keen on the available wheels.

Is there anyone out there that can supply me with a set of DEEP DISH RIMS (y)

And while im'e at it is there any where I can buy bigger arches? The car is having all new pannels in November so could have them fitted then.

Many thanks

Well

The car is now painted in Campavola grey and I am still looking for wheels
Does anyone know of any companies who can carry out wheel banding?

Thanks

Mike

HI Mike;
Welcome to the Forum. getting steel wheels 'banded' in the UK is difficult these days as it is very much frowned upon, therefore I don't know of anybody who does it now. If you want a nice set of alloys that will bolt straight onto your car (they have 190 pcd wheel-bolt spacing) contact Nathan Robertson Fiat500classic (01536 500314)--when I spoke to him a few days ago he had a set (4) for sale. They do not need wheel arches to be widened to make them fit. If you want some wider wheel-arches, Middle Barton Garage will sell you a nice set of 'bolt-on' group 2 arches. However, be aware, they require quite a bit of 'cut-away and re-weld' work on the original arches. If you are not going to lower the car, I would suggest that you stick to a set of 4-1/2 inch wide alloys.

Many thanks for the reply

I know Tony at Middle Barton quite well as I also have an Abarth 1000tc also but was not looking at moding the arches to much (wish I had done this before painting) may be something to look at in the future but good to know that group 2 may be the way to go

As for the wheels I will give him a ring

Out of interest what size wheels would be needed with group 2 arches?

Again many thanks

Mike

Evening Mike;
A 1000tc as well!!---you jammy so-and-so. Please put a picture on the forum just to keep me quiet!
I have 5.5x13in alloys on my car with the Grp2 wheel arches fitted. I opted for bolt-on arches (instead of moulded in) so that if they got caught/damaged it will be a lot easier (and cheaper) to repair/replace them. Tyre wise I have 165/55x13 tyres on my car, but Anton at MBG has 175/50x13 tyres on his car. The diameter of the 2 sizes is very close, with the 165/55 being 51.17cm and the 175/50 being 50.53cm---yer payes yer money and yer takes yer choice.

Not a problem if banded properly. Loads of people do it try banded wheels essex loads of my mates have used them and never had a problem most centres are held to the outers with much less.

Hi I have a set of steel dished wheel but they are 10" and will only work on the old style hubs and matching arches (so that they look right).
