Mr J with a cinquecento

Hi all, new to the forum and needing some well needed Cinquecento advice!
i got my 1996 cinq 900cc SX in august 08, was running perfect no problems, few bumps n scratches but nowt major, had the typical handbrake problem that seems to happen to all cinqs.
Then i started getting a 'clonking' noise from the rear drivers side whilst driving over small bumps on the road, so had it checked over 3 or 4 times and no1 could tell me what it was, so today i fitted a new damper thinking this would solve it as there is nothing visable thats moving or worn or loose! but still this 'clonking' noise is haunting me! :bang:
anyone got any ideas? iv even had ALL my rear interior removed including the spare tire to make shore it wasnt that but still no luck! exhaust is fine but thats on opposite side anyways, all rubber bungs seem fine, coil is fine, wheel is fitted fine with no movement.
you guys think of anything iv missed or anything that typicaly goes wrong in this area? any help would be very appreaciated as its starting to drive me mad!
