hi, i've got an L reg 899 cinquecento with a few probs... i'm abit simple with cars so simple solutions would be great!
first, my dad just changed the gearbox on my car a couple of weeks ago (my old one kept slipping out of 5th) and now when driving back to uni on the motorway the gearbox seemed to twist? by twist i meant that neutral was where 5th and rev should be... if that makes sense? basically i couldn't physically move the gearstick into the first and second position as these gears had moved to third and fourth, third and fourth were where 5th and rev should be and i couldn't get to 5th and rev... hopefully that makes some sense altho i havent explained it very well....
secondly, when i reverse there is a horrible "scraping noise from the rear of the car.. i recently had the back two sections of the exhust fitted so could that explain it?
third, when the clutch is up and the car is in neutral there is a 'ticking' sound like something is catching... this goes away as soon as i press down on the clutch...
if anybody could help that would be great!
