Cinquecento Novitec Carbon Filter Question

When I bought my Cinquecento, the seller threw in a fair few bits he'd collected over the years with it. One of these items was a Novitec carbon fibre air filter housing.
I am quite interested in fitting it, however what do I do with the MAF sensor that's fitted to the factory filter housing it is fitted to it on the intake?
Anyone have a fitting guide from back in the day or any advice?

That's not a maf sensor. It's a warm air scoop that takes hot air from the exhaust manifold when the engine is cold. Just remove it and put it on a shelf. You can disconect the hose that is going in to the throttle body and blank it off.
If you combine it with a sporty panel filter it will sound great
