Yes they are gutless. They are a 1.1 8v with 55hp. What would you expect? Buy a bigger engined car next time

If you've not done so recently renew plugs and leads then try a decent induction kit, something like a GSR, + a Mckrich chip. That makes one hell of a difference to these little things.
Well, the turbo ones aren't gutless. Nor are the Alfa v6 ones, or the cossie one............

buy my punto 75 and do a conversion
Mcritch chip, GSR induction kit.
And remove all the ice that makes it weigh over 1000kg

the 75 engine iv got is good, its the 85 one which is buggered
anyone wana buy the 85 engine? cos im gonna have to scrap it which seems a waste, cos it does run just smokes and burns oil but runs spot on.

im running a 85 engine yes, chipped by autosport, a claims to bring power to 97bhp i think, got magnecor leads and de-cat and performance exhaust too.
