ok well i am going to get the engine planned and started then make my mind up on the body and what it looks like

ok this is the plan

0866 cam
custom supercharger
front mounted intercooler
remap

does anyone know if there is anything to be gained from fitting an inlet manifold and single point carb off a 1.2 engine or are they basically the same
 
I like your enthusiasm but just stop and think for a minute,
do you really think a remap is all you need
do you really think a single injector designed for a 54bhp 1.1 will provide enough fuel when you bolt on a charger flowing an extra 45cftm
Do you really think the fuel pump is up to the job
what are you doing about the lowering the CR
The clutch will never cope with the torque what are you doing about that
how do you you plan on stopping the car with all the extra go
how will you uprate the suspension to cope with the extra performance
etc etc etc

Just by asking the question will a 1.2 inlet be better shows you haven't bothered to even do a bit of research.
 
well to answer some of the questions i am planning on punto gt brakes if they will fit inside the 14's i have on (front and back) unless there is another option some recomends as for the clutch well honestly yeah that had slipped my mind but thats why i am posting here for advise the fuel pump i am going to sorce an inline one and do away with the standard one and fuel tank and opt for a racing one mounted in the boot if i can find one that will fit suspension i was thinking spax supersport shocks and springs as that what i had on both my puntos and i liked the handling and as for all the engine stuff thats what i am asking for advise for as to be honest this is the first N/A engine i will be putting forced induction onto as the only experience i have had with it was an uno turbo that was already upgraded when i got it so hence why i am asking all these questions before i start rather than bolting a supercharger to it and wondering why it wont run or spits a con rod or its valves down the road
 
Read the Turbo posts read the FAQ's all the same principles apply, check the supercharged Punto thread, check the megasquirt thread for engine management ideas

Fuel pump can be uprated with one from an RS Ford, why do you want to make the centre of gravity higher by mounting the tank in the boot?

People will be much more helpful if you ask specific questions and show you have at least tried to work some of it out for yourself. There is a wealth of knowledge on here and a few of us have owned or are running high power Cento's and other mad stuff as well so most things have been seen before
