General cinq sporting

rite this is my problem

i have a red cinq sporting with a nackered engine, im looking for a 1242cc punto engine to drop into it, where would i find a 1242 engine and does anyone no anyone who can do an engine transplant ?

Someone can correct me, but i have asked the similar question, but for competely hassel free use a Mk1 punto 1242 engine.

It's doable, but that looks to be one of the SuperFIRE coil per cylinder engines. If so, you'll either need megasquirt or to convert the engine to wasted spark.

Also, it ain't cheap!

i think ill just stick with the 1242cc 8v engine then should fit straight in without changing wireing looms and gearbox
