ok here we go alot sooner than planned but lets get started

ok about to start the strip down and replace all the gaskets as there are more oil leaks than sealed bits and i have also got a hold of an 866 cam and clear oil spray pipe all i need for the mo is to ask a question is there anything special i should know before i start to fit the 866 cam or is it just fit it and set timing up as if it was standard cam

The valve cleanrance needs to be checked, as they are different to standard cinq cam. It is done by replacing or swaping the shims.

Don't have the clearance figure foer the 866 cam, am sure someoen will post it up :).

ok i know this will sound stupid but just for my knowledge what will happen if i did check the clearences

also when i have stripped the engine down i have discovered that the headgasket was gone so that is getting replaced and also there is a pipe that goes to the heat matrix that is bodged and also the vacume pipe that goes to the break servo has been dodged

oh and it is defo a 1108

Once the cam lope is pointing at 12 o'clock positions, measure the gap between the cam and the shim. Then the gap should be within the interval:

Inlet 0.40mm (+/- 0.05mm) and exhaust 0.45mm (+/- 0.05mm)

Thanks
Ming
