Technical cinq sporting opperating temp?

anyone know what the correct opperating temp. for the sporting is? mine seems to run at 90oC. also, ive just done the head on my cinq but theres now a tapping noise, tappets? and we looking at a supercharger at the mo. might have a problem finding a place for the charge cooler. maybe a turbo is easyer........but maybe........

Yeah most Cinqs and Seis run around that and the fan cuts in anywhere from 95-105 which is stupidly high, bloody Fiat designers.

Regarding the supercharger, there is'nt anyone that does a kit for a Cinq and i don't think there will be a lot of room for one in the engine bay, there are turbo kits available and Steve has a kit for sale look here http://www.chestermodels.com/fiat/

Im having the same probs as u 'part' my cinq now doesn't run benneath 90c even with the heater on full i've jus flushed the system and the cooling fan wrks fine so im thinking radiator/ thermostate/ or something else my cars cooling systems so crap [!]

Coincidentally today I flushed the radiator and refilled with new water/antifreeze, brought the temperature down from 'worrying'to 'satiscraptory'. Also placed some radiator sealant stuff in as well, seems to have done the trick too.

I won't be cheap, topping up in future will use antifreeze not water, think that's what set the rot in.

I can see the top of my car in the car park...
