Hi all, just signed up.
Don't know how I've missed this forum after all these years.
We have, as our 3rd car, a 1995 Cinq Sporting which we have owned from new. It has done 57k miles, everything still works and I have maintained it since the one year Fiat warranty ran out.
Throughout it's life it's had one clutch cable, 2 rear hubs, 2 headlamps, one set of front disks, one thermostat, radiator, exhaust, fuel cap. I've replaced the alternator bearings, freed a jammed starter motor and am just about to change the clutch which is sticking on the spline.
The black paintwork still has a brilliant shine (apart from the white stone chips on the bonnet!) and is completely rust free which is more than you can say for our 10 year old VW Polo
The Fiat has certainly exceeded the somewhat lowly expectations that we had for this marque when we bought for £4700 and is giving us the confidence to consider a '500 as a replacement for the wife's Polo
