Hi all,
I'm in the process of hardwiring a multi cig adaptor to my in-car socket (for satnav + ipod etc, and have made a bit of a blunder..!
On yanking out my cig adapter (which took ages btw as i couldn't find any instructions anywhere), i let the wires dangle loose for a second! Inevitably they moved and i forgot what order they went into their push fit socket.. On reconnecting I've blown several 20amp fuses trying diff variations. Ive attached a couple of photos so u can see! At the moment when I put the earth on the left hand side of the connector (with the clip facing you) the light says illuminated even if there is nothing plugged into the socket..
If someone could let me know what order they should go in (clip facing you and brown securing bit away from you) I would b more than grateful.. Don't want to fry my electrics!! Ive already seen a bit of smoke after nudging the connection when live!
The Car in question is a 2004 8v 1.2 MK2B Punto (newly waxed 'Midnight Blue')
Thanks all,
Tom
