Ever since i got my bravo I've had no end of grief from the rear view mirror. It just won't stay up.

I've tried all sorts of ways to defy gravity that have lasted between 3months and 2mins, sticky pads, glue and mesh things, sucker cups. I do exactly what is says on the packet every time...cleaning the surfaces etc but still sooner or later it's in the footwell.

I have to stick it just below where the original went (which i don't have) cos of all the black stuff there, that and it'd be too high.

Anyone have any hints or anything they've tried that worked well? I might try to find an original and a bit of araldite!

Try the LOCTITE glue for the rear mirror, did it on a friends car and it is still holding after 5 yrs.

i got my bodyshop guy to stick the metal thing on with the strongest stuff he had. still on strong a year later. how did yours come off? i was wiping the inside of the windows in winter and was a little over-zealous and smacked it clean off the window...

With most sticky stuff, you have to leave it on for a day or so till it 'cures'. Stick the mirror base on then fit the mirror the next day. Try to do it when it's warm.

I bought some mirror sticky on glue (can't remember the propper name),it came with glue and a gauze thingy from Halfords, served me good for nearly 2 years...
