Chinese Android HU issues

Hi. I got an AliExpress unbranded special HU for the Panda

It sounds good, the interface is slick and I’m generally very happy apart from two issues:

1. Steering wheel controls don’t work. (The can adapter seems to be working, because the h it picks up when I’m in reverse fine.) the controls have two modes in car settings. ‘Special mode’ does nothing. Learning mode should let you learn the buttons but also does nothing when you press one.
2. The button illumination cycles through the rainbow and I cans find a place to set it to match the dash. It isn’t in car settings to change it. Is there an app I could download from the play store?

Does anyone have any experience of either issue and how to resolve it?

I've just returned a similar unit as it would not take mph only kph which was getting dangerous for my license

Yes the first night it went multicolour which was weird but you do not need an app as it is one of the menus quite easily accessible (I found it driving home so started the journey in tecnicolor but had matching red twenty minutes later) - unfortunately because its gone back I can't tell you exactly where it is
