POLICE are warning parents to be on their guard after a series of attempted kidnaps.
There were two reported attempted abductions over the weekend and a further reported incident six weeks ago, all in the Endon area.
Police said they are investigating the two latest incidents and described them as "serious".
On Friday, at around 7.15pm a man and a woman, driving a grey coloured 2007 Ford Galaxy, tried to entice two young boys while they played in their garden after school.

The female tried to attract the boys from their Stanley Road home in Stockton Brook, while the man waved a pink bag at them.
The parents of the children saw what was happening and ran outside. The car then drove off at speed.
The man was described as white, mid to late thirties, bald and of a stocky build while the woman was white, of a similar age, blonde hair and of a slim build.
And on Sunday afternoon, at around 3pm, a man wearing a balaclava got out of a silver coloured car and approached a 13-year-old girl to try and get her into the car. Fortunately the girl ran home and reported it to her parents.
Police also confirmed an incident on February 17 in Endon, when a 17-year-old girl was approached by the driver of a silver Vauxhall Astra and invited into the car.

And whilst the punishment for crimes is so pathetic, the criminals will continue. A short spell in prison does not seem to be a deterrent.
Only when our Lords and masters are affected directly by crime will we see a change in the law. Meanwhile, those of us who have to survive in the real world must continue as best we can and just hope and pray that others are vigilant.

There was a very similar story around here the other week and one down south somewhere. Either a peverse ring has sprung into action or there is a major propogandic campaign going on.

What the pervs? The scenarios are different but there are far to many similarities of the information like a description of car etc to be coincidental.
I couldnt drive anywhere when they did it round here as it was reported they had a "bright red car"

It happened a while ago (2 / 3 years easily) To a family member, she was wise enough to not get into the car, and it hit the local news paper

Never heard owt about it again
