I have chewing gum stuck on my car mat - looks to be a day or so fresh.

Anyone got any advice on the best way of getting rid of it which will leave minimal marks?

scrape away as much of the gum as you can using a spatula or spoon (to protect carpet fibers).
Step2vacuum or brush away loose pieces.
Step3rub the remaining gum with a plastic bag filled with ice until the gum is frozen.
Step4chip away the frozen gum fragments using a spatula or spoon.
Step5dissolve any final traces of the stuff by dabbing with a small amount of dry-cleaning fluid. Blot.
Step6blot on a detergent solution of 1/4 tsp. Mild dishwashing liquid and 1 cup (8 fl oz/250 ml) warm water.
Step7rinse thoroughly.

Im not sure about Step 5-7, but I do recall ice cubes being used on chewy before

My choice would be to find the person who dropped it and make them lick it off.:bang:

I have had old chewy stuck on my car seat since i bought it in march - when i went to visit the car the fella had a car seat cover over the top - i paid for it. and the when i went to collect it i noticed it had chewy on (only small)
