Up to you, but you'll stuggle to my the 12v lump sound amazing!
But its your car that you have to drive so its up to you, I remember a friend has a Cherry bomb on an Escort of his and you would have a headache within 15 minutes of driving, either from the exhaust or the music to drown out the drone it produced!
Its up to you though in the end, its your car.
Personally bad times!

Fiat Bravo 1.2 80sx - 100,000 miles - and a new exhaust!
Bravo_CT. Ever owned or modified a 1.4? Just that, like so many on here, it seems you think you'll look like you know what you are on about if you just mock it, but having had a couple of bravos, and modified them, i can confirm that an aftermarket exhaust can in fact sound pretty good on a 12v. It has to be said, however, to answer the question big gee posted, that a cherry bomb is NOT the answer, lol
Buzz - Never owned a 1.4 12v Bravo/a, and to be honest I never will from the problems the majority of owners seem to have, not to mention the poor fuel economy and all that!
But the original post asked whether or not it would give him "good times" or "bad times" to fit a cherry bomb on his car! In which I answered that I personally do not like big/loud exhausts on low powered cars, that is why my car has not got one and the reasoning behind my answer!
Not just because it was a 1.4!!

dont even bother wiv a cherry bomb! i had 1 on a mk2 xr2 and what a racket that made! Iirc they got banned because they were too loud or sumthin of the other.
CT, My 1.4 had NOOOOooooo problems at all in the many many thousands of miles i did. Most of them dont. In fact, with the exception of owners who dont change their oil and filters every 10k, i'm pretty certain they were the most reliable bravos out there! Just setting the record straight.
You are right about the low power/poor fuel consumption, due to the old engine design (it was cutting edge in 1988 when it was first used in the Tipo)
I also had 2 different custom exhausts fabricated as the guys assumed the same as you, and used 2 small mufflers. The thing ROARED! 12v design lends itself to deep exhaust notes. Not rumbly or burbly, which you'd prefer from a bigger engine, but lovely and deep.
The cherry bomb probably wouldn't cut it though. Bad times indeed.

If you see a bandwagon, its already too late!
lol no need for cherry bomb enine went due to cam belt snaped and just fitted a newer engine from the scrapy and sounds so much better, think my tappets were goin on the old engine
probably a previous owner skimping on the oil changes and letting the oil spray bar get blocked. Just the usual it seems. trouble is, 1.4s were the cheapest bravs, so if someone wants the cheapest, then thats what they spend on maintenance too
