Any idea how to turn this off? Just came on yesterday and the light is fine - typically I am due to trade the car in tomorrow and now I have a lovely yellow triangle in the middle of my instrument panel :( This light had come on a few months ago but went away The next day - love Fiats :D

It just thinks the bulb is gone due to a higher than normal resisitance through the number plate lighting circuit Jim. Just clean up the bulb connectors and plug and it will go off. Can happen on any make of car with the fancy gizmos they come with these days.

What are you changing to from the GP?

Cheers again Ffoxy! Will give it a go later...

Just changing for economic reasons unfortunately - looking to move house and need to free up cash for deposit/fees :(

Been offered £5.5k trade in on a 97' BMW 528i SE, manual, 55k with full BM history and one owner £2,995... Expensive to run but day to day costs aren't a massive prob at the mo! Would look to go for one of the new 2 cylinder turbo 500's in a couple of years - if they ever get round to launching them!! :)

I get ya Jim... equity release. Nice choice of Bee Em by the way, and good history too (y) Must admit I like the sound and comfort they offer too.

Good luck with it, and the house move... bad times but as they say...

"Things can only get better..."! (y)(y)
