This morning, drove the 500 out of the garage after being stuck in there for the last 5 days due to snow.
Had a message on the display.... "Check Daytime Running Lights" with the Amber Exclamation Mark lit.
Had to get out of the car to close the garage, and both DRL were operating no problems. Turned it off and on again, again error still there. Amber light went out eventually.
Had to stop and start on my journey (to pick up some milk and tea bags), and this time no error warning.
Phoned my dealer and asked what it ment. I also mentioned that I have on occasion had a flashing mileage issue, which does normally sort itself out if I stop and re-start. As I was calling, I thought I'd mention it.
His response was, "that's a quirk of the car and no real solution exists for that sir" !!!!
When I mentioned that I heard something about 'Proxy Alignment' and a common problem he denied any knowledge of this.
They said they would phone me back, but I'm not going to accept the 'it's a quirk of the car' line.
