cheap chinese android into 2020 panda

hi all from a newbie to fiat got a 2020 4x4 panda
i saw from the dash that the in car wasn't upto much with that obsolete orange display its just like my iveco daily van which also has a iveco connect which is similar to the u connect so bought a basic cheapo Chinese 7inch android to to give me a few of the missing things like sat nav and rear view cam

wasnt an easy job as no one appears to do harnesses for this mod so bought a £3 one from e bay and modified it to fit the fiat harness and standard iso on the android also noted there was no wiring for the rear speakers so installed that and some rear speakers

fitted a usb adaptor to original so that the usb under the phone holder could still be used and an antenna adaptor there is a permeant 12v on the on the fiat connector and picked up a switched 12v from the ignition switch picked up the 12volt for the reversing camera from the rear reversing light cable in the boot area

still to do pick up a feed from the dash lights and investigate the steering wheel controls
as i think these are cam bus and haven't been able to find any info on these and aftermarket dont have anything for a model newer than 2012

so although its a cheapie it does the job total cost including new rear pod speakers about £90 so now hopefully none of those short bollards will get me when i reverse lol
time i think fiat came into 2021 and fitted all this as standard instead of trying to adapt 20 year old technology

Thinking about doing something similar. What reversing camera did you get, and where did you fix it

i wonder how fast this drains your battery

Why would it drain the battery? If you connect the yellow wire to permanent 12v, and the red wire to a switched 12v like TS did, there is no battery drain.
