I drive a 1992 Uno Fire five door (South African spec)
A while ago one of the relays under the glove box started chattering at random.
When the car went for its last service, they replaced the indicator relay. The problem has now changed - the relay buzzes at random time.
Clearly some stray current is getting to the relay making it switch on and off rapidly. I thought that dirty or loose contacts on the switch stalk may be the problem. I removed the steering wheel and the stalk switch and cleaned it with solvent and sprayed with a lubricating switch cleaner. The contacts are not really accessible but they seemed to be OK.
This has unfortunately not solved the problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
TIA
