Chatbox?

Yeah well I think it'd be a good idea to have a chatbox at the top of the forum, so members that're online can chat and ask quick questions etc.

Well that's not very accessable tbf. There should be alink at top of the page or something

Well exactly but if we had something more accessable for all users that are currently online to chat to each other maybe it would save stupid posts

Yes, it is called a Shoutbox - it has been suggested many times, even by me direct to admin back in 2006, plus:
