the charging light wont go out have changed dynamo and regulator

Have you metered the battery to see if it is indeed charging?

If it is charging then you may have a little short down to ground which is keeping the light on. The cable cluster in behind the fuel tank could be the culprit if this is the case, I had an instance a couple of years ago where if I switched on the lights the engine died, it was two wires that had been rubbing off one another for 50 odd years that shorted.
