General Changing the Headlight Bulb

Hi,

I have got a Fiat Punto MK2 2001 Yreg and my bulb has gone in my left headlight instead of just buying a standard white bulb i was going to purchase a H4 (i think it is) white tinted blue beam bulbs for both of them (the left and the right)

the problem is i dont have a clue on how to change them or even get to them (taking the plastic cover off)

Any help please?

the bulb will be either h1 or h7 you'll have to take the back off to check which you have.
you have to undo the two metal clips on the back of the headlight, one goes to the sid ethe other will hang down then you can remove the plastic cover,
if you have just one connector on the bulb then you have a h1 bulb.

if you fit a different bulb (tinted one) you'll have to change both sides so that they look the same

so you want me to unclip the clips in Picture 3 and i should be able to remove the plastic caseing?

no meed to undo the one nearest the wing, this is for the foglight which you don't have

I have managed to get the caseing off and took a picture now of my findings...

How do i get the bulb out and what type of bulb is it if you can tell? (H1, H4, H7)

To take the bulb out, just undo the spring clip in your very last pic to release the bulb.

I think it's a H7 as per Toad's suggestion. It should be stamped on the bulb metal body.
