Hello,

I want to change the distribution belt in my ducato 2.3 2007.

Does anybody knows a manual or a video for doing this?

Regards.

Excuse my ignorance, but is a 'distribution belt' the same as a timing belt?
Different terminologies for different countries possibly?
If so, there are quite a few videos on youtube. I have never checked them out, but perhaps it might be a start if you can't find a manual.
If the distribution belt is something else, then maybe a manual would be the way to go if there is one around, but I'm sure there would be something on this site which may help.

Hello,

Yes, is the timing belt. I found two videos but they aren't for the 2.3 multijet.

The process could be the same but I wanted to know where the timing marks are. They are to block the engine in the correct position.

Thanks,

That's what I consider to be a "major operation".
You need a set of special tools to block the engine and to properly set the belt tensioner.
The procedure is given in the eLearn manual. I found that not encouraging, so had it carried out by a Fiat dealer. They removed the whole front, the radiator, hoses, water pump, alternator and A/C belts while the van was lifted well of the ground.
Than they found some bolts were seriously corroded. A few could be removed after a repeated spray with WD40, others had to be cut off and drilled out....
The whole affair lasted 3 days and their bill was impressive.

Hello,

The special tools to block the engine are cheap in Ebay.

I tried to download the elearn manuals but I can`t unzip it.

Regards.
