I have a1994 (M) Tipo 1.4ie.
Water has been increasingly getting in after rain, but I can't see from where. (windscreen ?) Also, last week after heavy rain fusebox got wet --> odd electrics problems with lights, indicators and wipers.
Dried out, now OK, but it's raining again.
At the same time, BOTH central locking AND alternator charging stopped. Are all these problems linked? I checked the C.L. 20amp fuse on fusebox, but OK. Is there an alternator fuse / connection box somewhere hidden?
How do I check for corrosion / bad connections on the central locking and alternator cables. I don't have a manual, but hope someone may have had similar problems and fixed them.
The first problem is to try and reseal windscreen I guess - how do I do that
Thanks

If you want to check along the bottom of the windscreen you need to remove the wipers (screwdriver to remove the cap and socket for the nut underneath). Then bottet up, undo all the screws on the ends of the plastic at the bottom of the screen, and remove into the engine bay. You should now have access all the way along the bottom of the screen to check for gaps.

Does your car have the sunroof? You may have a blocked drain, or it could be rusted through.. Hope not. Clean it out with a tie wrap. Not something metal or you will damage the thin protection of the metal inside.
