CD player problems

I have a Blaupunkt 10 cd player. It has a face off front (sorry dont know the model) Just lately when I put it on, it switches itself on, the word blaupunkt scrolls across and then it prompty switches itself off again. Then it comes back on, and then straight back off again and continues like this.
At the moment, it is on radio mode, but switches itself off too quickly for me to try the cd mode.

Is this a sign that its on its way out or is it the cold?

Can it be fixed?

Please help me, cause I am fed up singing to myself

Don't know if this will fix it, but just under the face, there should be a reset switch, you could try pressing it...

Everything else seems ok, but I am on nights at the moment, will have to wait till Tuesady when its bloody light enough to see what I am doing

Just to bring an update to this.

Took it to an audio place and he reckoned Blaupunkt are notorius for crashing out. Anyway he just took it out, left it for 10 mins, stuck in back in and now it works fine.

Total coast.........£2 for a pair of the prongs in case it ever happens again
