just been looking at johnathons facias, imimpressed,
what i wanted to know is has anyone actually blended the fascia into the dash,
i was thinking about sanding all the little clips on the fascia off and then glueing it onto the dash (obviousley with the dash screwed off) and then put fibre glass all around the outside of the fasciawith my finger or something n then smooth it all off n then spray it.....
has anyone done this b4?

well i was thinking of doing the same

well i was thinking of doing the same but alot of sanding wud have to be done and also it might look shite if u do it urself (thats wot put me off) so if ur going to do it take it down to a body shop and tell them wat u want it shud be around 50 pound

paint?

What are you planning to spray it with exactly?

Re: Re: paint?

im really good with ma hands ya see, so forget about the job as i know it will look good, i just wanted other peoples opinions ya see, im basically going to blend the CD fascia that u have to buy seperatly to replace that awful standard stereo with the middle of the dash, n then smooth it all with wet n dry and primer n then finish it off with a layer of spray paint the same colour as my car or silver. but i aint decided yet

Re: Re: Re: paint?

Hi matty, I think it's a great idea!

It's an idea I had about 8 months ago.
I wanted the new Pioneer DEH-P8000, but it won't fit into the bravo/a dash because the fascia wouldn't be able to open. It would catch the dash.
I'd planned to fiberglass in a new DIN unit cage, brought further out (i.e. not recessed in), flush it in and spray it the same colour as my car 'black'.
I kind of lost interest in the idea and got myself an Alpine instead that wouldn't catch the dash.

Hope it's something you'll do and remember to do a photo guide as you go through it. It'll look excellent :)

cheers Si mate,
im hoping to get a digital camera this sunday so i will stick some fotos on, it will probs be a week or 2 before i get started on it like as its raining here n its best to spray paint things in hot weather even if i am in a garage with a heat gun

Re: Re: Re: paint?
