hi i bought as you know 1991 panda dance been driving it around for a while now no issues at all... i checked under car when buying , new shocks new exhaust infact all looked good and is,,,, no dents or rust and all drives well...
then i got the v5 the other day from dvla and saw in notes on front page car has been inspected or extensively repaired.
i guess thats cat c as cat d dont get recorded on v5.
i also assume that as the car is 20 yrs old and worth no more than a few hundred quid cat c may of been a smashed in boot panel on an old girl like this panda and was just not economical to repair . i also assume that a vic check has been undertaken just make sure its not a cut and shut and numbers all match, and as its got an mot its legally roadworthy ?
just wondered if the more experienced of you out there think i have any cause for concern. ??
its motd and taxed and my insurance company insured it with no problem (would they of known it was a cat c), although i didnt declare it as a cat c as i didnt know then what i know now .... i saw the original v5 when i bought the car and it had no mention of this repair in the notes..
as i say im not too fussed but just wondered if there is anything i need to do in regards to checking what the actual repairs may of been i guess there recorded somewhere ?
if this thread is in the wrong area apologies ....
