General Carioca 644 on a Fiat Ducato

Hi All,

I've wanted to carry a small scooter on a rack on the back of my motorhome BUT have been advised by various places that the over hang and design of the body work would make this very difficult. (I've done the calcs and the loading should be ok)

I've had another idea which I would like to float for comment and to see if any body else out there has done something similar.....

The rear of the motorhome has a shower/toilet room on the near side and a fixed folding bed on the off side. The bed folds in the middle (down the length). On the rear wall is a single window. I had the idea that if I have the rear face modified and a door put in I could put the scooter inside the motorhome with the bed folded up. This would put the weight of the scooter almost directly over the rear axle.

Comments would be welcome especially if it's been done before.
