Technical Carb question

Hello All,
I'm new in the forum and enjoyed a lot of the post. I have have a 74 x 1/9 with 40 DCNF. The car ran smooth w/o any issue but had sat for a year and now it stumbles a bit when accelerating by hand (feels like 3 or 4) and during my test drive the car turns off during deceleration but will start back up okay. Does this sound like a float issue (need cleaning) or float needs restting (how too do it?) Thanks is advacne

stupid question but have u changed all the fuel, oil and filters? does it feel like a spark or fuel issue? when u started it up first did u lubricate the cylinders before hand?

yes to all except probably the gas which I will do next...thanks

over time fuel seperates and doesnt burn properly which is more then likley what it is!

your better off draining as much fuel out of the system as you can.
